PROJECT OVERVIEW
Color of the day is a platform featuring influential people and their work that was created as a personal form of creative expression and as a social media consulting project.
The concept has remained the same since the very first post, every day an image is posted of an artist and a color swatch pulled from the image captioned with the following format:
“color of the day: #hexcode
[Name] inspired.”
The end result is a curated Instagram and Twitter account that provides our audience with an aesthetically pleasing feed, serves as a tool of inspiration for creatives in need, and offers a platform for showcasing great artists.
As of October 2019, color of the day has amassed 14,000+ followers organically, without using superficial techniques common in social media consulting projects, such as mass following/unfollowing, paid and promoted posts, etc., and we were successfully able to create a unique brand from scratch.
Our average engagement rate is 7.8% with our 15M+ impressions and 1M+ overall engagements, and has grown popular among designers, creative individuals, and artists alike. With a following of top-tier artists like Chance the Rapper, Mac Miller, Cole Bennett, and more, color of the day has carved a unique niche with a promising future as we plan to expand our content and reach beyond social media.
